Beyond Academics
The parts of me that live outside the classroom and the codebase - the disciplines that keep me sharp and patient.

Calisthenics
Captain of NUS Calisthenics Varsity team and compete at the national level. Currently, I am working towards representing Singapore internationally.
I train advanced static skills like the planche and front lever. I've reached an advanced level despite being on the taller and heavier side for the sport — which, more than anything, has taught me what it means to fail at something for years and keep going anyway.

Milestones & performances
Learning French
Most of the world's calisthenics elite are French — so this one's personal. My dream is to get fluent enough to meet them, train alongside them in France, and hold real conversations, not just share the sport.
It also points at a concrete goal: competing in one of calisthenics' biggest static-strength competitions in Lausanne, Switzerland and Toulouse, France — where the language genuinely matters. And honestly, I love the challenge of it; French is hard in exactly the way I enjoy.

Long-term Investing
Since young, my uncle had taught me the importance of managing my own finance through saving one dollar coins weekly, buying/selling on the Counter Strike Market Place, reading the Finance Section of newspapers every weekend. Today, I invest with a long-term horizon, buying quality and holding through the noise rather than chasing it - managing my own portfolio by keeping up with the news.
This led to me building MarketBuddy (view under Projects), which solved an issue of mine, which was that the news was always filled with noise and students like myself, have no time to sit through every article, every day to keep up. Hence, I built a short-form content style platform, which provides me with daily news on the stocks I follow.
